  • On the 'shallow end' of the conversation pool, this 'group' is for a variety of publicly read topics to encourage men to participate in MENtrepreneurs, and then move into specific 'Facilitated' Groups.

      • Garth HardinHey fellas, welcome all of you. This is the home of think outside the box ideology. Considering to what degree our government seems to want to employ tactics that have unequivocally proven not just their ineffectiveness but that they have long lasting rippling effects that exacerbate an already compromised and challenging environment, I'd say this is a good thing. We have our work cut out for us. The more eyes we see through, the more we see. The more minds we think with, the better it is, what we think.

      • Daniel CompImagine if some of the 15 million men in business (alone) were enabled to hire their first employee? 1 guy, 1 employee = no unemployment. Pretty simplistic, but realistic because 87% of the existing jobs came about this way.

      • Garth HardinSadly, our government, or the few who want to control the many...however they can...unequivocally do not deal in logic, reason, rational, common sense...and...simplicity. There in lies the root of our challenge: getting through the false-biased-destructive-learned ideologies and thus the 'inside the box' thinking, reasoning and problem solving tactics that those who wield the pens in high places are programmed to employ. Put the way you did, stated here, it really is simple. Just one employer one employee. Now times that by...? we faithfully envision.

      • Garth HardinOh, we're just a bunch of crackpot entrepreneurs, who think we can clone ourselves in an attempt to cover the threefold nature of what we have facing us....product, marketing and finance...and still hold on to our sanity, retain patience and have a grounded sense of humor towards the unprecedented madness of it all...well until Life Skills crashed into Daniel Comp(or was it visa versa) and then those two crashed head long into...God.

      • Scott GloverHi everyone,

My name is Scott Glover. I am new to MENtrepreneurs. I am in the early stages of starting a business with my dad. I am in the fishing tackle industry. We have a couple of products that we are in the process of getting marketed. I would love to talk to everyone about their businesses. I'm looking forwart to getting to know some of you. It's exiting to see that there are some people out there who are concerned about business as well as personal growth.

      • Neil LichtGood idea daniel re page and recent versions. Many may already do that but many may also set to something other than check for newest versions. That means every open, check for newer versions, correct. Does that effect speed? Is this a stored cookie thing?

    • Neil Licht We have a fantastic group of folks who have joined us here. Participation is our key to deriving benefits as in getting help or in giving help yo each and from each of us. Maybe each of us members should post a "what I'd like t help on and where I think I can offer help. Thanks, Neil Licht

    • Neil Licht I'm seeing a lot of on line groups and actual local meeting networks defined essentially along the lines of common businesses or common issues. ? - I'm wondering 1. Would joining these groups where what you are interested in doing or want to offer is the focus, then participating in discussions, not to sell, but to be a person who offers some valuable input - would that be a strong way to create a presence, a "go to" person reputation, get people asking you for help? 2. Would it be a comfortable place for those with expertise who dislike selling to get customers to have a conversations about what they love doing, give of themselves so to speak and see requests for help coming in that can become contracts or a chance to "sell"? What do you folks think about this as a comfortable and valuable tool for you to develop business yet not have to sell to get business? Regards, Neil

      • Daniel CompI'm working on the Enterprising Cycle online group and lessons... so the answer to your question for me is no. Joining local 'groups' is not viable. I'll be serving the online men-in-business community.
        9:50 AM December 07
      • Neil LichtDaniel - I see your point thanks. For us "locals" I'm wondering about the option in addition to our MENtrepreneurs participation.
        10:30 AM December 07
      • Will WilliamsNeil - I believe you have hit the nail on the head. The real trick is in finding the 'right' groups. Groups are not looking for new members to come in and bombard them with sales pitches, but rather are there to join in on a discussion that focuses on the content of general group interest. Therefore, if your product is say, log cabins, you would go to every group you could find where people have interst in the subject, join, and start introducing yourself, your ideas, your experiences, and then leave a subtle link back to your own website to offer group members who have interst in your content a larger venue to do their research.

    • Neil Licht Folks, the PMF concept seems to really be helpful in finding someone that a person might want to reach out to for advice or have a question for. I wonder if it can be clicked on to show the 3 categories by name that each bar refers to? If so, that would really make a great tool even better as a profile of what each of us loves to do.
