 | William Lasko Welcome Will & Garth!
I'm checking out all the changes to this web site .......... I can't seem to find the thread discussion we were on .......MMMmmmmmmm........ I'm glad that I found Daniel. An email came with the name of the web site "Mentreprenuers" and a message about regarding this huddling in a fox hole and working alone to overcome .........everything, and about how my boss is an idiot. Ohhhh the price we pay to reach for something we've found a passion in. I know I want to work smarter, not harder and for sure, to actually get to enjoy what I'm doing. "Business" takes, or can take, the joy away - that's why I'm here.
Now, if I could just find that discussion thread, I wanted to tell Neil and Jack that I found "another" direct mailing opportunity yesterday. I'll catch up with you again later no doubt!
Again, welcome and I hope you find here that several minds together can cut through some "pea-soup" fog! I've toldmy stepkids and others I've mentored over the years that all to often the answers to a lot of the perplexing things in life are to simple that we look at them or listen to them even and can't believe they're accurate and right! THe agony we go through trying to figure things out on our own hurts or otherwise impacts us so much that we can't accept a simple solution! Like a toothache, we allow our selves to endure so much pain that when we finaly do go get it "fixed" - we wonder why to ourselves, "why did I put that off for so long?" about 2 years ago | | Daniel CompYou're soooo correct... We endure decades of pain enterprising all alone - to discover that we've robbed another guy of an opportunity to work at his strength, while making ourself do his job poorly.
This is the place to connect with the guys in this group. You can go to each of the topics being discussed by this group by clicking on the [TOPICS] tab above.

 | Jack Lewitz Neil,
I am sending you a blog article I wrote and thought I would share with this group but thought I should give you some background information. My business is pretty much exclusive working with pre-foreclosure, foreclosures. I work with seller, buyer, and lenders who want to buy or sell in this market. I have pretty much come to the conclusion you cannot help everyone in this market due to its complexity and have summarized best in the post you are about to read. The first to stages DENIAL and ANGER prevent me from reaching homeowners who need to sell and lenders who show accept Short Sale offer. In order for me to be successful in this market I must try to reach people who gone through the 4 stages and are now at Stage 5 ACCEPTANCE.
My question is how to find more people who will ACCEPT the Decision to SELL their HOME as the BEST alternative to prevent a FORECLOSURE. There is so much resistance out there. Any way I thought we could start with a discussion on this topic.
As a former Social Worker I am reminded of Elizabeth Kubler-Ross book “On Death and Dying’ and the five stages a terminally ill patient goes through when informed of their life threatening illness.
The five stages she identifies in her book are:
•Denial ( this isn’t happening to me!)
•Anger( why is this happening to me?)
•Bargaining ( I promise I’ll be better person if…)
•Depression ( I don’t care anymore)
•Acceptance ( I’m ready for whatever comes)
As I reviewed these five stages and relate them to Sellers I have worked with or am currently working with I am drawn to how these same stages are exactly what sellers go through when selling their home in a short sale.
Stage 1 Denial:
Many sellers who are falling behind in their mortgage payment often do not get help or seek help because they are in total denial. They often think nothing is going to happen to them even after the bank has sent them the Notice of Default letter.
Stage 2 Anger:
This is a very difficult about 2 years ago | | |

 | Neil Licht I'd like to demystify sales-marketing, help take the fear of selling away, and learn how to get customers for your area of expertise and skill.
Here's a starter kit ppt presentation as a roadmap to help you do that, think from the point of view of your potential customer, understand how to "know" what to say that can get a potential customer interested in doing business for their reasons, not yours.
I wrote and used it to help an entire industry retool its messaging and sales approach so it could survive and thrive in the face of a completely changed market and decision maker. The "new world" was completely alien and not understood by the players in the industry so it was retool for and learn the "new world"or go out of business.
Its also got homework in it so you can apply the concept to your own business, even if you have not sold before.
Let me know what you think. Ask me for help in adapting this to your own business. Borrow my strength and skills are to supplement your and together we can excel.
Thats what MENtrepreneurs is all about.
