View the small business statistics
Small business is tough. Failure greatly discourages men from trying again - and yet, 79% of all new jobs come from the solo-entrepreneur as a personal enterprise with no employees, or a micro-enterprise with less than five employees.
There's ~79,000 men with small businesses in Las Vegas and Clark County, and over 11,000 Las Vegas / Clark County men are struggling to stay in business with little reward or recognition. You can nominate several of them and make a big difference.
The MENtrepreneurs™ Valor awards recognize the character, passion and sacrifice of champion men of small entrepreneurial businesses and social enterprises. Think of it like 'Main Street Accolades' or 'Honorary War Ribbons' for small business owners. Get your community to ‘champion’ for your man-in-business!
Nominate, recognize and greatly encourage a personal or micro-enterprising man of valor in your community for his faithful, courageous and generous sacrifices. Share his overcoming story below. Get your friends and family to leave comments and ‘vote’ for him. Make a huge difference for him, his family and your community!

Duct Tape Award (perseverance)
Don Simons, Pahrump Valley Sprinklers, PVSPRINKLER@aol.com, Pahrump, NV, The main thing I appreciate about Don is his integrity, honesty and commitment to service his customers to the fullest extent. Don installed a sprinkler system at our newly built home, and came back several times when things weren't working exactly as they should have. He also came on a moment's notice when the main water line to the property was run over and broken, and is always very courteous, and prompt when he makes an appointment. He tells his customers to call him anytime, day or night, if there's a problem that needs immediate attention. A very pleasant article in the Pahrump Daily Times http://www.pahrumpvalleytimes.com/2007/Nov-02-Fri-2007/opinion/17655725.html You can visit his website athttp://pahrumpvalleysprinklers.com Nominated by Marilyn Tenney 5/7/2010 11:05:14 AM go to VOTING
