Last fall Event Design magazine called Gino Pellegrini a “Man of the World”. This description could speak to his background or the travel he completes to service clients, but it also speaks to the award-winning designs that he has created that now exist all over the world. Gino was born and raised in Santiago, Chile, but he now calls Denver, Colorado his home. After attending business school in Chile, Gino discovered his passion for design and international business when he began designing furniture for his family’s business in the early ’90s. He flew to the United States to sell the furniture to large retailers like Price Club and Costco and became interested in opening his own business in the U.S. While he was designing patio furniture, a friend recommended he try exhibit design and exercise his creativity instead of designing for quantity. Recognize and encourage a local businessman for their persevering valor, community contributions and personal sacrifices by nominating them for a MENtrepreneurs™ 2012 'Man of Valor' Award.

Small business is tough. Failure greatly discourages men from trying again - and yet, 79% of all new jobs come from the solo-entrepreneur as a personal enterprise with no employees, or a micro-enterprise with less than five employees.

There's ~41,000 men with small businesses in Denver, and 5,900 Denver area men are struggling to stay in business with little reward or recognition. You can nominate several of them and make a big difference.
