Chicago Small Business 2012 'Man of Valor' Award:

Chicago Nominations are Open Recognize and encourage a local businessman for their persevering valor, community contributions and personal sacrifices by nominating them for a MENtrepreneurs™ 2012 'Man of Valor' Award.

Small business is tough. Failure greatly discourages men from trying again - and yet, 79% of all new jobs come from the solo-entrepreneur as a personal enterprise with no employees, or a micro-enterprise with less than five employees.
There's ~177k men with small businesses in Chicago, and ~26k Chicago men are struggling to stay in business with little reward or recognition. You can nominate several of them and make a big difference.
The MENtrepreneurs™ Valor awards recognize the character, passion and sacrifice of champion men of small entrepreneurial businesses and social enterprises. Think of it like 'Main Street Accolades' or 'Honorary War Ribbons' for small business owners. Get your community to ‘champion’ for your man-in-business!
Nominate, recognize and greatly encourage a personal or micro-enterprising man of valor in your community for his faithful, courageous and generous sacrifices. Share his overcoming story below. Sheilah A. Doyle was followed home from her job as a nurse on the nightshift at Little Company of Mary Hospital by two men looking to get parts from her car. These two men brutally murdered her and left her in the trunk of the car to be found by police the following morning. Despite this tragedy of losing his mother that Kevin experienced at only seventeen, he pushed himself through the pain to success and is now helping others to do that as well through Sheilah A. Doyle Foundation (www.sadfund.org) created in memory of his mother for children/teenagers whose parents are victims of murder.
