Nearly 15 Million Isolated Men 1/2 of all the businesses in the US are owned and operated by a man ‘going it alone – without a single employee. They get little to no recognition, and have few peers that they can learn from – especially things to avoid that will kill their business or hurt their family.
Production + Marketing + Finance On top of this, most men in business have mistakenly taken on all three aspects of small business; production, marketing and finance. At least one of these roles will never interest them, nor will they excel at it like their true passion – which is usually production. Marketing is often a sore spot for them, and that’s where the MENtrepreneurs Enterprising Men of 'Valor' Awards can help a great deal.
Personal recognition for the enterprising man’s character, sacrifices and hard work. Documentation of their influence with comments by peers, family and customers. Community awareness for the Nominee and their enterprise(s). Creating inbound links and digital content for Search Ranking improvements. Providing marketing materials and content for press and media. Surrounding the Nominee with other ‘Men of Valor’ for support and instruction.
Have you ever noticed something missing in your life (or business) and thought to yourself; "someone should do something about that"?
I did.
I used to have 17 employees, and I was respected as a small business leader. Then the Internet showed up, and I downsized AND found myself isolated. For nearly 13 years I've been a part of the 15 million men 'going it alone' in business without a single employee, or a decent 'men-in-business' supporting network.
I've also noticed that Angelina wins awards and gets lots of public recognition as a 'woman-in-business'. In fact - I cycled across America three times (solo) campaigning for 'women-in-business'. And then it hit me; "wait a minute - what about all us guys?"
Have you noticed that when you point your finger, there are three pointing back at YOU? I did.
So, here WE are... doing something about it.
We have learned that each region and nomination city has a different mix of cultures, ages, pace and response. We want to help each Nominee gain the most from the process, so we're NOT in a hurry, and neither are we slow.
We will let nominees know when the 60 day countdown starts, and when an awards ceremony will be in the nomination city. On average the process tends to be a 5-6 month process from the first announcements.
How do we get a copy of the comments to use for our own marketing material?
As early as possible, you can comment on your Nominee's Voting page. The default 'notification' check box is for you to receive a copy of each comment following yours. This is so that every commenter benefits by reading what the others have to say.
The Nominee also gets a copy, so you can have those forwarded to you.
You can also scroll over the comments section of the page and Copy>Save to your clip-board and then into a document to be saved on your local drive.
The STAR ratings are ranked from 1-5 lowest to highest. Each person that ranks the Nominee casts a single rating. The total displayed is the average of all the ratings.
