  • Netiquette is a code of online behavior that delineates expectations for acceptable social behavior.
  • Everyone is 100% responsible for their online communication of thoughts, feelings and behaviors.
  • Post when you are awake, aware, and in a responsible state of mind.

 Encouraged Post Rules

  1. Posts are to be 200 words or less. [word counter function is on the bottom right corner of your post edit box]
  2. Long posts should be turn into articles through your profile page that you can reference.
  3. Images are to be 150 in pixel size or less, or they will be deleted AND must include copyright information/permission from original source.
  4. Check your spelling.
  5. Use appropriate capitalization [ALL CAPS means shouting]
  6. Post back what is relevant or close to the topic at hand.
  7. Rate others posts, not your own [you build credibility on what others think of you]
  8. Mutual support and feedback are encouraged.
  9. Respect differences in opinions
  10. Respect each others privacy of exchange
  11. Everyone is equal in value.

Unacceptable Post Rules

  1. No Demeaning or condescending comments
  2. No Private conversations are to be made public [I told such and such]
  3. No Accusatory or correctional tones
  4. No Blatant disrespect of others opinions
  5. No Personal attacks
  6. No Repeating duplicate posts [post spamming]
  7. No Guilting, shaming or humiliating others
  8. No Foul language
  9. No Bullying

Online abuse in the form of the above will NOT be tolerated! It is the equivalent of verbal abuse offline.

Consequences:

  • On a first offense a member will be given a warning.
  • A second offense can lead to member dismissal.
