Hello, I'm Daniel Comp,
the Founder of Mtrepreneurs™ - the parent of MOMtrepreneurs™ and Mentrepreneurs™. I've been an entrepreneur most of my life. In 1979 I had a miraculous recovery after falling off a glacier. This focused my passion to 'Make a Difference'.
My son David and daughter Carissa are both extreem athelets and living their dreams. I've built a few multi-million dollar companies and I've 'failed' more times than I can count. I really know about listening to my 'knower', taking risks, and supporting my spouse's and children's dreams.
Since 1997, I've been using media and technology to help people in small businesses, and some large ones like UPS, Rite Aid Corporation, Starbucks and Microsoft. That's why I can can speak with confidence about the challenges and rewards of "business ownership" and "GOING THE DISTANCE" when the only encouragement around is the wind in your face and a distant horizon.
This is Angelina Musik,
my wife and business partner. We founded MOMtrepreneurs two years ago. Texas Governor Rick Perry and the US Small Business Admininstration recognized us with two "Champion-of-the-Year" 2004 Awards (SBA Oscars) for helping women in business using media and technology.
We've planned that as soon as we got MOMtrepreneurs off the ground we'd get to the men entrepreneurs. That time has arrived. The first interviews are underway. See Astronaut Charlie Duke below.

1) Going The Distance
Beginning June 25th 2005, I'll be riding, by bicycle, from Seattle, WA to New York City - a total of 4,295 miles. I'm "Going The Distance" to demonstrate that getting to a goal demands nothing more than faith in your convictions, and a consistant effort. All along the route, Angelina and I will be interviewing entrepreneurs, encouraging business owners and holding workshops on how to define, start and grow a business.

The Cycling Metaphor
Why cycling? Two reasons.
1) Cycling is a perfect metaphor for small business. It's a healthy, self-powered vehicle that teaches discipline, endurance, focus, vision, and so much more.
2) Imagine your wife's face when you get off the couch, clean up your dishes, do your own laundry and get those old cycling shorts over the bulging mid-section. She might even let you go with us - 10 miles, 30, 60 or 4295! You can make a statement!
2) Charlie Duke - Guest Entrepreneur
Astronaut Charlie Duke, the Apollo 16 Lunar Module Pilot, will be the first guest MENtrepreneur. You can imagine he knows a bit about getting from here to there, and what counts in life. 3) Book of the Month
I've read hundreds of books, and this is one of the finest. Jack Canfield co-created the hugely successful "Chicken Soup" series.
